OUR BOARD

The core executive board are elected by the general membership through a democratic election process every year. The core is at the highest level in the structural hierarchy of the executive board. The president overlooks all the core members and the chairs. The remaining core members overlook a subset of the chairs.

Giuliana Fagre
President

My mission is to help everyone feel more connected to the SHPE familia, and to foster a safe environment where everyone can grow and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Natalia Alejo
Vice President Corporate

Increase member engagement in professional events by facilitating access to information about the company, its visiting representatives, and available opportunities.

Gabriela Lopez-Salgado
Vice President External

I aspire to motivate and empower the Hispanic community to reach their fullest potential in STEM by sharing the experiences and resources of older generations of our SHPE familia through outreach.

Yasmira Cortez
Vice President Internal

My mission is to create a support system that empowers, encourages, and welcomes all Hispanic STEM students so that they can accomplish their goals.

Macarena Peralta
Secretary

My mission for SHPE is to increase engagement with all of our members through our social media and newsletters.

Alexis Barraza
Treasurer

My overall goal this year is to increase SHPE funds by at least 15% of what it was before. I came in so that other teams can implement cool programs and projects they wish to make.
